Lightning Of Dioscorus

An homage to Belgian Trappist Quads, Lightning of Dioscorus is brewed with heirloom malts, dark candied syrup, and expressive Belgian yeast, then cellared to quietly develop its character before natural bottle conditioning. Medium to full-bodied, it unfolds with flavors of chocolate-covered banana, caramel, and clove, finishing smooth and warming.

Lightning of Dioscorus tells the final act of St. Barbara’s story. After beheading Barbara for converting to Christianity, her father Dioscorus was struck down by divine lightning. He died. Barbara became a saint. This ale celebrates her enduring legacy and the dramatic justice that inspired its name.
