The Dark

The Dark is one of the first beers we brewed at Third Window Brewing in 2015. The original idea was to brew two lagers only—one light and one dark.

The first batch of this beer turned out amber in color. We called it The Darkish, and it quickly became a customer favorite. Six years later, we adjusted the roasted grain proportion in the recipe to deepen the color and finally bring the beer fully into its name. With that adjustment, The Dark went on to earn gold medals at both the 2021 Great American Beer Festival and the 2024 World Beer Cup.

Brewed with the finest quality malts and lagered in traditional horizontal lagering tanks for six weeks, The Dark delivers rich malt character while remaining light on the palate.
