Belgian lager with a touch of unmalted wheat.
Batch 002 is the second beer we made at TWBC. The expectation was that we would rack all of the beer into white wine barrels with Brettanomyces. We liked the beer a great deal in the fermenter and decided to rack 1/3 into the brite tank and finish it. This finished delicate lager is Batch 002.
Aroma: subtle lavender, honeysuckle, and Hallertauer spice.
Flavor: well balanced, crisp earthy hop bitterness, with lingering pine resin and sugar.
